Jesse Ahern is a working-class musician who practices what he preaches. After a quick burst into the music business with the help of his friend Ken Casey of the Dropkick Murphys, Ahern realized the traditional music industry model wasn’t for him.

In early 2024, he parted ways with his management and booking agent at Wasserman Music and has been doing things his own way ever since. Fed up with what he sees as exploitative practices within the music business, Ahern has removed his music from major streaming platforms, with the exception of “Roots Rock Rebel,” which remains under contract but will soon be removed as well.

Ahern released an album and several singles in 2025 and 2026 and is now preparing to release his next album, PEACE LOVE AND REVOLUTION Produced by Elio DeLuca, in fall 2026. After researching alternatives to the traditional streaming model, he has chosen Qobuz and Subvert as the platforms for his music. His existing catalog and new album will be available there this fall, alongside a tour in support of the record.

PEACE LOVE AND REVOLUTION was born from one line: “You call me a fag, but I call myself queer.” The world has always been on fire, but now we’re seeing it in real time, and some of us are waking up.

Music is Jesse’s way of connecting with current events and challenging his own perspective. PEACE LOVE AND REVOLUTIONi is an airing out of grievances and a call to hold others accountable - an album written for workers, pointing out injustice and asking people to unite. His hope is that it sparks a flame in someone who has otherwise given up or doesn’t know where to start.

That same mindset applies to how he’s releasing the album. Jesse is stepping away from major streaming platforms he believes have systematically undervalued artists and taking a more unconventional, grassroots approach to the album cycle. Even his effort to produce environmentally friendly vinyl is another way he’s challenging a system he believes is holding artists and workers back.
